The Vermont Lead Law Disclosure – Lead-Free Property form is used when a residential property built before 1978 has been tested and certified as lead-free by a Vermont-licensed lead inspector or lead risk assessor. The form confirms that the inspection was performed using approved testing methods and that the results were submitted to the Vermont Department of Health. This disclosure is part of Vermont’s Lead Poisoning Prevention Law (18 V.S.A. Chapter 38) and informs the buyer that the property has received an official lead-free certification under state standards.
Sellers will also need to provide the Federal Lead-Based Paint Disclosure and Pamphlet.
