My property only has a parcel number, but not an address. Is there a way to easily share the location?
Yes! Google maps uses "plus codes". From the Plus Code website:
"A plus code is like a street address for people or places that don't have one.
Plus codes give addresses to everyone, everywhere, allowing them to receive deliveries, access emergency services, register to vote, and are already improving peoples' lives.
A plus code address looks like a regular address, but with a short code where the street name and number would be. These addresses exist for any location, even for places where there are no roads."
An example plus code: PQ7W+WM, Tokyo (open google and enter it into the search)
How can I get the plus code for my property?
1. Go to Google Maps and click on the location that you want the plus code for (see screenshot below).
2. Click the coordinates that appear at the bottom of the screen (see screenshot above). When you click the coordinates, a window will pop out on the left side of the screen which will show you the plus code (see screenshot below).
3. The plus code shown above is JHC2+W5 Kenton Mill, CA. Now try searching that in google maps - an exact location for an address without a property!
