How do I add open houses and broker tours?

Simply submit a change to your MLS listing through the website.

Go to https://homecoin.com/dashboard, then:

1. Find your property and click on "Request Changes". ​​

2. In the new screen, you will see the form to submit changes. Check the box for "Open House". 

4. Click the "+ Add Open House Button"

5. Enter the open house details. Once complete, click the "MLS Listing Change Step 2" button.

6. Click the "Submit Change" button so we receive the change.

Note: Making a change is a two-step process. You create the change in step 1, then sign and submit the change in step 2. We won’t receive the change unless you submit it in step 2.

Is there anything I should know about broker tours (AKA broker caravans)?

The broker tours are held on specific days and at specific times for each area. Some MLSs prohibit having a home on the broker tour unless there is a licensed agent at the broker meeting prior to the tour (sellers are typically prohibited from pitching the home themselves).

All MLSs/associations have deadlines on when the tour must be submitted in order for it to appear. In addition, some MLSs prohibit homes from appearing on the tour in back-to-back weeks or within a certain time frame from the previous appearance on the tour.

Prior to adding a broker tour, you must confirm the local rules regarding having a home on the broker tour. You can typically find the rules by googling "broker open house tour + your city" If you need assistance, submit a support request to us. Are there anything I should know about submitting open houses?

You want to submit your MLS listing change to add any open houses as far in advance as possible. The that websites pull data from the MLS are not updated the instant that the MLS is updated, so you want to allow time for those websites to pull in the new open house data. In addition, changes made via homecoin.com can take up to 1 business day to be made on the MLS (though typically faster).
