In Montana, before a buyer signs a contract or a tenant signs a lease, both sellers and landlords must provide a written Methamphetamine Disclosure Notice if they know the home was ever used as a meth lab or is contaminated by meth smoke. They must also disclose if the issue has been has been properly cleaned by a certified contractor and meets the state's safety standards. (See MCA § 75-10-1305)
