I'm a real estate agent and I want to list a home on an MLS where I am not a member. Can I do this through homecoin.com?
Yes, with a couple important notes.
- Assuming you do NOT have Power of Attorney, you can add the owner in the "seller" role on the website so they sign our listing agreement. You would add yourself in the "agent or admin" role and will still be able to complete most of the forms and receive email updates. You can still handle the negotiations and paperwork for the owner. A signed listing agreement between you and the seller does NOT give you authority to sign our listing agreement for them.
- Some MLSs prohibit having an agent who is not a member of the MLS as the point of contact. Instead you can have the offers go to the seller and they can forward to you.
