How do I tell buyer agents of the settlement providers that I want to use?
When filling out the MLS listing form on homecoin.com, you will see a step that asks for your settlement provider preferences. Here are the options you will see:
- Vendor (if available)
- You will see a description of any settlement provider(s) that we have integrated and a description of their service.
- The vendor selected will reach out to see if you have any questions on services.
- The preference of the settlement provider will appear in the Private Remarks to Agents on the MLS.
- Other (options below)
- No Preference
- Selecting this option will not make any changes to the Private Remarks to Agents.
- Seller's Choice
- Selecting this option will note in the Private Remarks to Agents that you prefer to have the choice of settlement providers.
- Custom
- Selecting this option will make a text box appear where you can enter in any preferences you have. That information will appear in the Private Remarks to Agents on the MLS.
- No Preference
Can the seller require the buyer to use a certain title insurer?
The choice of which title insurer to use belongs to the person who pays for the policy.
